Please mention any gift certificates you may be using, when you make your reservation. If you have any questions on a specific package please ask in advance. </p> <p>50% deposit required to hold all rooms.  We would greatly appreciate payment by check, traveler’s check, or cash; but we also accept credit cards. </p> <p>If you are making a reservation as a gift for someone else, the reservation must be paid in full at the time of booking in the form of a gift certificate. The gift certificate is non-refundable for cash and the reservation is subject to our regular cancellation policy. </p> <p>All balances are to be paid in full at time of check-in. No refunds are permitted. </p> <p>The staff of Peter Shields Inn recommends that you reserve your accommodations at least four to six months in advance.   Additionally, we recommend making dinner reservations early. Have a safe trip.</p> </blockquote> <p><b>Cancellations</b> </p> <blockquote> <p>Because we are a small seaside inn and rely entirely on advance reservations, we must be notified well ahead of time if there are any changes in your plans. </p> <p>We will hold your room with a 50% deposit.  Deposits are non refundable if cancellation occurs within 60 days of scheduled arrival date during summer season, holidays and special events. For the remainder of the year the period is 30 days.</p> <p>If we are able to fill all vacancies in the inn for the period of your stay we will refund deposits less a $35 processing fee. If cancellation occurs outside of the cancellation period refunds will be provided less a $35 processing fee. </p> <p>If you have any questions regarding our cancellation policy please give us a call at (609) 884-9090 or 1-800-355-6565. </p> <p>The management does not claim responsibility for illness, family emergencies, early departures, work conflicts, or inclement weather. Early departures will be treated as a cancellation.</p> </blockquote> <p><b>General Policies </b></p> <blockquote> <p>Check-in time is 2:00 PM. If you will arrive later than 9:00 PM, please notify the Front Desk. Check-out time is 11:00 am. </p> <p>For the courtesy of our guests, there is no smoking anywhere inside the building; however, smoking is permitted on the outside veranda. If you do chose to smoke in the common areas outside the house, please be aware of the other guests. By order of the fire marshal, lit candles are not allowed in any of the guest rooms. Any guest who smokes or uses lit candles within the inn will be asked to leave immediately.
